Antipodean Beauties: All about eye - EOTD #19

This week's Antipodean Beauties challenge is "All about eyes". This is definitely my favourite as you can probably already tell as I do love eye makeup and accentuating my eyes.

Today I did another purple eye look but mixed with a bit of silver.

To create this look I used the following products:

- Illamasqua Cream Pigment in the colour Mould - I used this as a base all over the lid. The colour is a very deep dark purple.
- Psychedelic Sister from the Urban Decay Fun Palette. I applied this colour on the outer third of the eyelid. I also applied this colour on the crease and blended it.

- Uzi from the Urban Decay Fun Palette which I applied on the inner part of the eyelid and the middle of the lid. I blended this with the purple. This is a silver/white eyeshadow but since I blended it with the purple it turned out quite subtle. I kind of hated using this eyeshadow though as there were a lot of glitter fallouts on my face.

- Sin from the Urban Decay Fun Palette. I applied this in the inner corner of the eye and blended this with the silver eyeshadow, Uzi.

- Maybelline master precise liquid eyeliner along the upper lash line
- Sephora flasy waterproof eyeliner in flashy violet along the bottom lash line
- Benefit They're Real mascara

And lastly just to add a bit more drama I used false lashes. The lashes I used were the Demi Wispies from Cherry Lashes.

And that's it! Hope you like this look. Make sure you also visit the other Antipodean Beauties blogs to check out what they did for this week's challenge.

Antipodean Beauties: Winter

Week 3 challenge of the Antipodean Beauties is "Winter".

I don't usually adjust my makeup to the season, but I thought I will do a look that I think fits the theme "winter".

Winter in Canberra is so freezing cold! When I think of cold I think of the colour blues, but I don't really have much pale blue eyeshadow so I decided to go with light lilac. I think it fits the winter theme quite nicely. I also paired this look with a deep berry lipstick which is definitely a winter colour.

The products used:
  • Maybelline Colour Tattoo in white
  • Essence eyeshadow in 63 is it purple?
  • MAC Mega Metal Eyeshadow in Centre Stage
  • L'Oreal Infallible eyeshadow in Hourglass Beige
  • Urban Decay Naked Palette - Buck
  • Urban Decay Fun Palette - Psychedelic
  • Maybelline Master Precise Eyeliner
  • Revlon Grow Luscious mascara
  • Lancome Rouge in Love Lipstick in 379N

I used the Maybelline colour tattoo in white all over the lid, and then I applied the Essence eyeshadow no. 63 over that. Because the colour turned out quite pale and light I decided to add a touch of purple using the Urban Decay Psychedelic eyeshadow. I picked this colour up and very lightly swept it over the Essence eyeshadow. I also applied the Psychedelic eyeshadow on the lower lash line. I used Hourglass beige in the inner corner of my eyes.

To deepen the look I used MAC Centre Stage eyeshadow on the outer corner and use the Naked Palette Buck eyeshadow to blend it with the lilac. I finished off the look with the master precise liner and the Revlon mascara.

To finish off I used the Rouge in Love lipstick in a deep berry colour (379N). Before I got this lipstick I never thought a deep berry/plummy colour would suit me but I gave it a try and I love it! This lipstick also lasts a long time. I actually forgot to bring it with me and the colour lasted at least 6 hours even after drinking and eating.

So do you adjust your makeup to the seasons?

EOTD #18 - Purple and Gold

I haven't been posting EOTD in a while since I have been sick and then I got really busy so I kept on sticking with my usual neutral eye makeup routine or just simply an eyeliner and mascara. However today I was inspired to do something different.

To create this look:

  • I applied Maybelline Color Tattoo in Painted Purple all over the lid
  • I then applied Urban Decay eyeshadow Psychedelic Sister (from the Urban Decay Fun Palette) on the outer 1/3 of the eyelid and blended this up to the crease
  • Then I applied Urban Decay eyeshadow in Baked (also from the Fun Palette) on the inner 2 /3 of the lid and blended it with the purple.
  • Using a small smudge brush I applied the purple eyeshadow (Psychedelic sister) on the lower lash line and on the upper lash line too.
  • Lastly I applied Revlon Grow Luscious mascara on the upper and bottom lashes.

EOTD #17 Pink and Gold

Today I decided to add a bit of colour to my neutral everyday eye makeup. I usually don't use much hot  bright pink eyeshadow. If I use pink it would be a very light pale pink that looks more neutral but today I wanted to try it out to add a pop of colour.

The products I used:

  • Maybelline Color Tattoo in Too Cool - as a base all over the lid
  • Urban Decay Woodstock eyeshadow - on the middle of the lid
  • Urban Decay Baked eyeshadow on the inner third and outer third of the eyelid
  • Urban Decay Buck (from Naked Palette) on the crease
  • Urban Decay Darkhorse (also from Naked Palette) on the outer v
  • Eye of Horus black eyeliner - tightlined and smudged on the upper lash line
  • Revlon Bronze Flash eyeliner on the lower lash line
  • Australis Killer Curves Mascara
I really liked this look as it adds that pop of colour but still looks quite subtle and can be worn during the day.

EOTD #16 Peppermint choc eyes

For the last week and a half I have been stuck at home in bed sick with tonsillitis. So I haven't really felt like going out or putting any makeup on.
However this week I am feeling better and I'm back at work so I started getting into putting on makeup again.

This week I did something slightly different to my usual neutral everyday look. I did a Peppermint green and brown EOTD.

Here is the look. (note: I'm sorry the photo quality isn't great as I took it with my phone and forgot to take more photos with my normal camera)

How I created this look:

1. I applied Maybelline Color Tattoo in Too Cool all over the lid as a base. I also applied this in the inner corner of my eyes.
2. Then I applied Essence eyeshadow in no. 66 Peppermint Ice Cream all over the lid.
3. I applied Buck from the UD Naked Palette and blend it on the crease.
4. To define the eyes a bit more I applied Darkhorse from the UD Naked Palette on then outer v of the eyes and blended it up to the crease.
5. I tight-lined my eyes using Eye of Horus black eyeliner and I lined the upper lash line by pushing a black eyeshadow (Creep from UD naked palette) along my lash line. I didn't want to do any thick eyeliner since I wanted the focus on the eyeshadow and since I have hooded eyes any thick line will just reduce my lid space.
6. I applied Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner in Mildew (moss green colour) on my lower lash line.
7. I finished off the look by applying Almay Get Up and Grow mascara on the upper and lower lashes.

For my face I used:

- Chamos Acaci Magic Perfect BB cream  SPF 45
- MAC Mineralized Skinfinish in medium plus
- MAC Pure Sculpture Pro Sculpting cream
- MAC Lilycent Cream Blush
- MAC Cream Colour Base in Hush

And for my lips I used Dior Addict lipstick no. 554.

EOTD #15 Peach and berry cut crease & New Haircut!

So I have been a bit unwell, hence why I haven't posted in over a week. Anyway this was an EOTD from over a week ago. Also.... I just got a brand new haircut then! At first I thought it was too short but now I am getting used to it and really liking it. I also find it much easier to style.

These are the steps on how I created this look:

  1. Apply primer all over the eyelid up to the brow bone.  I used Mirenesse Sexy Secret Eye Primer. This helps out even out the lids and make the eyeshadow last longer.
  2. Apply the peach eyeshadow from MAC Reel Sexy Dynamic Duo 1 all over the lid. Since I have hooded eyes, I also applied it and blended it up above the crease.
  3. Apply the berry purple eyeshadow from the MAC Reel Sexy Dynamic Duo 1 with a pencil brush by drawing a line on the crease. Apply more heavily on the outer part of the crease.
  4. Apply more of the berry purple eyeshadow using a fluffy brush (like MAC 217 brush) and blend out that line you drew on step 3. This will blend out the cut crease so it does not look too harsh. Keep blending until you get the desired effect.
  5. I applied MAC fluidline in Blacktrack along the upper lash line. And on the lower lash line I applied Sephora Flashy Waterproof Purple eyeliner.
  6. I finished off by applying Almay Get up and grow mascara on my lashes.
Hope you like this look!

EOTD #14 Neutral eyes with a hint of green

This is an EOTD from a week ago that I haven't had the chance to upload and post.

It's a neutral EOTD with a hint of green. I thought it was nice to add a bit of colour that day since I was wearing all black.

To create this look I used:

  • L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow Hourglass Beige all over the lid
  • GOSH Cosmetics in Dark Green on the crease mixed with Darkhorse from Urban Decay Naked Palette
  • I tightlined the upper lash line using the Eye of Horus pencil eyeliner and also very thinly lined the upper lash line
  • Camouflage Colours Skin crayon eyeliner in green on the lower lash line
  • Almay Get up and grow mascara

EOTD #13 Blue sky eye-makeup look

Today's EOTD was inspired by a friend on a beauty forum who always post beautiful colourful EOTDs. I usually don't do a lot of colourful EOTDs and when I do it's mostly a colour that's not too bright or I only use a pop of colour.

However since I was inspired I decided to do a blue eye makeup look. I don't tend to use blue a lot so this is definitely different to my usual makeup look.

As you can see it is quite bright and out there but since I have heavily hooded eyes when my eyes are open it actually looks less out there.

Anyway if you would like to recreate this look you can follow these steps:

  1. Apply eye primer all over eyelid up to the brow bone and also under the eyes. This helps the eyeshadow to stick and last longer.
  2. The main eyeshadow I used for this look was MAC Heavenly Creatures Mineralized eyeshadow in the colour Sky as pictured below. I did not blend the colours from this eyeshadow but applied the 2 blues separately.
  3. MAC Heavenly Creatures Mineralized eyeshadow - Sky
  4. Apply the bright sky blue from the Sky mineralized eyeshadow all over the lid. Since I have hooded eyes, I blended this slightly higher so it is visible when my eyes are open.
  5. Apply the darker blue colour from the same eyeshadow all over the crease and blend.
  6. I applied MAC Shimmermoss eyeshadow in the inner third and inner corner of the eyes.
  7. Under the lower lash line apply the dark blue colour on the outer two thirds and apply MAC Shimmermoss on the inner thirds.
  8. To highlight the brow bone, I applied Urban Decay Sin eyeshadow from the Naked Palette.
  9. Make sure that you blend the colours quite well so that it transitions beautifully.
  10. I applied a thin line of black eyeliner on the upper lash line very closely to the lash. I used Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner.
  11. Because it's such a colourful dramatic look I decided to use false lashes to enhance my lashes. The lash that I used was Red Cherry lashes #110.
And that's it. For the face I used Lancome Teint Visionnaire Foundation and I used MUA Bronzed perfection bronzer to contour the face. I didn't want to do too much on the face since the eyeshadow is quite dramatic. I also left my lips bare or you could apply a nude lipstick so that the eye is the main attraction.

Hope you like this look :)

EOTD #12 - Silver Smokey Eyes for a night out

Last weekend I went to a friend's 30th birthday party. It was a fancy dinner so I had to wear a fancy dress. So, I thought this occasion calls for a more dramatic makeup.

To recreate this look follow these steps:
  1. I started by applying a primer all over my lid and under my eyes. I used Mirenesse sexy secret eye primer.
  2. Apply L'Oreal Infallible eyeshadow in Hourglass Beige on the inner corner of the eyes and the inner third of the eye lid. I also applied what was left on the brush on brow bone to highlight this area.
  3. Apply L'Oreal Infallible eyeshadow in Flashback Silver on the middle and outer third of the eyelid.
  4. Then I used a mix of 3 MAC eyeshadows (Espresso, Cork and Cross-Cultural) and applied this on the crease and blended it in.
  5. To add more definition and darken the look a bit, I used MAC Beauty marked eyeshadow on the outer V.
  6. I also applied MAC beauty marked eyeshadow and smudged it along the lower lash line.
  7. I applied MAC Fluidline Blacktrack on the upper lash line.
  8. I finished off my applying Australis Killer Curves mascara on the lashes and I also applied Red Cherry false lashes in #747S to give me that extra oomph on my lashes :)
  9. For my brows I used Maybelline master shape brow pencil in dark brown.
 For the face I used:
  • Lancome Teint Visionnaire foundation
  • Inglot translucent powder
  • MAC blush in Pink Swoon
  • MUA Bronzed Perfection bronzer
And for the lips I used Revlon Just Bitten Kissable balm stain in Honey.

Hope you liked this look :)

EOTD #11 Neutral eye makeup look with purple eyeliner

Last week I got a Clinique eyeshadow duo and blush which was a Gift with purchase (GWP) that a friend gave me. The 2 eyeshadows in the GWP was Clinique Colour Surge in Lucky Penny (a shimmery champagne with pink tones) and a shade from the Black Honey quad (a dark brown with red /burgundy tones). I love these eyeshadows. The colours are neutral but gorgeous and is perfect for everyday makeup look.

For this look I used the 2 eyeshadows I mentioned above but I wanted to add a pop of colour so instead of lining my eyes with a black eyeliner I used a purple liner. I think adding the purple using the liner gives a more subtle pop of colour.

To recreate this look:
  1. I started by applying a base all over the lid and up slightly towards the brow bone. The base I used was Chanel Illusion d'Ombre eyeshadow in Emerveille.
  2. Then I applied the lighter shade in the Duo palette which was Lucky Penny all over the lid.
  3. On the outer third of the eyes I pat the the darker shadow from the Duo (which was the dark reddish brown colour) and then with a fluffy brush start blending it towards the crease.
  4. Pick up more of the dark reddish brown eyeshadow with the fluffy brush and blend it on the crease.
  5. I tightlined my upper lash line using MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack. This gives the illusion that the lashes are thicker.
  6. I then lined the upper lash line with SEPHORA Flashy Liner Waterproof eyeliner in the colour Flashy Violet.
  7. I also lined the lower lash line with the same purple liner.
  8. I finished off by curling my lash and applying mascara. The mascara I used was Australis Killer Curves mascara.
Products used for the eye makeup
I really like this look. I think the purple liner just add that subtle pop of colour without going over the top. You can easily take this look to a night time look by intensifying the darker eyeshadow and also intensifying the purple liner by setting it with a bright violet eyeshadow.

For the face I used Lancome Teint Visionnaire foundation, MAC Peachtwist blush and MUA Bronzed Perfection Bronzer.  And for the lips I used Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip balm stain in Adore.

And that's it! This was a pretty quick makeup look great for an everyday look.

EOTD #10 - Dramatic Arabic Smokey Eye Inspired Look

Sorry I haven't posted an EOTD in a while. I have just recently sold my compact camera since I want to get a new one. I do have an SLR but it is a bit hard to take self portraits with but I have managed to do it.

This EOTD was inspired by MissChievous video tutorial on Exotic Arab Smokey eye look. You can view the video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Bpu6BWG7pg.

This look is quite dramatic and definitely not an everyday look. I did a double winged eyeliner in this look just to add a bit more drama to the look. And I also

Here are some steps on how to create this look:

  1. First I applied a base all over my eyelid. I used Makeup Forever Aqua Cream in no 16 Pink Beige.
  2. I then applied a pink eyeshadow all over my lid. I used MAC Extra Dimension Eyeshadow in Young Venus
  3. I patted a Urban Decay Gunmetal from the Naked Palette (a bluish metallic grey) on the outer third of the eye and then using a blending brush I blended it up to the crease. I keep adding the colour and blending it on the crease until I get the desired effect.
  4. I applied Urban Decay Creep from the Naked Palette (black eyeshadow with shimmer) on the outer v and blended it in with the previous grey eyeshadow applied on the crease.
  5. I applied Urban Decay Virgin on the brow bone and Sin on the inner corner of the eyes.
  6. I tightlined my upper and lower lash line with MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack and also lined my upper lash line and winged it out.
  7. I also lined my lower lash lined and created a wing parallel to the upper lash line.
  8. I then applied Rimmel Soft Kohl Kajal Eyeliner in Pure white in the area between the upper and lower winged line.
  9. I finished off by curling my lashes and applying MAC Haute & Naughty mascara. And lastly because it is such a dramatic eye makeup I used false lashes just to make the lashes look full and long. I used Manicare Glam Eyes Alicia lashes
Tip: to get that clean winged eyeshadow look I placed a scotch tape on the corner of my eyes so it created a clean winged look.

Because this eye makeup is so dramatic, I left the face and lips quite subtle.
For the lips I used Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Honey
And for the face I used the following products:
  • Lancôme Teint Visionnaire foundation in 04 Beige Nature
  • Makeup Academy (MUA) Bronzed Perfection Bronzer
  • MAC Peachtwist blush
  • Revlon Age Defying Spa Concealer in 002
Hope you like this look!

EOTD #9 - MUFE Pink Beige

Since I purchased the Makeup Forever (MUFE) Aqua cream in pink beige I have been playing around with it. I have tried it on its own and as a base. Yesterday I came up with this look.

How I did the eye makeup look:

  1. I primed my eyelid up to the brow bone. This is optional. I think the MUFE Aqua cream last long without a primer but since I was using other eyeshadows I wanted to use a primer so that it last longer and makes it easier to blend.
  2. I applied  MUFE Aqua Cream in Pink Beige all over the lid and blend up slightly.
  3. I applied MAC Soft Brown all over the crease and blend.
  4. On the outer half of the eye I applied MAC Cross cultural on the crease and the outer V.
  5. I lined my upper lash line thinly using Maybelline Master Precise eyeliner and winged it out slightly.
  6. I applied Revlon High Dimension Eyeliner in Bronze Flash on the lower lash line and then I used a small smudge brush and applied MAC Cross cultural on top to set and smudge the liner.
  7. Lastly, I applied MAC Haute & Naughty mascara to the upper and bottom lashes.
For my face, I did my usual routine:
  1. I applied L'Oreal Nude Magique BB Cream in Medium all over the face.
  2. I then used Eco Minerals mineral foundation in Neutral Sand (this was a sample sachet I ordered from Eco Minerals).
  3. I contoured my face using Eco Minerals bronzer in Holiday (also a sample).
  4. I applied MAC Peachtwist blush on my  cheeks; and
  5. I finished off by highlighting the upper cheekbones by tapping a very tiny amount of MUFE Aqua Cream in Pink beige.
Hope you like this look!

Birthday dinner - EOTD #8

So this look is very similar or closely similar to EOTD #7 Golden Chocolate which I posted 2 weeks ago. Last Saturday my best friend organised a birthday dinner for me so I wanted to look extra special for this special occasion. Because I worked on that day and I had a very busy day I couldn't think of what to do for my eye makeup. At the end I decided to do something similar to EOTD #7 and do a golden smokey eye look.

For this look I used the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Bold Gold all over the lid and blended it slightly above the crease. I also applied this on the inner corner of the eyes.
I then applied MAC Cross cultural on the crease and blended this out. I used L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Endless Chocolate on the outer V to intensify and smoke out the brown. I also applied this colour on the bottom lash line.
To line the eyes I used Maybelline Eye Studio Master Precise Eyeliner. I love this eyeliner as the tip is so pointy and it can create the most precise and thinnest line.
Because it was a special occasion for me I used false lashes and the lashes I used were the Manicare Glam Alicia lashes. I don't usually use falsies since I always have trouble applying them but the Alicia falsies were so easy to apply and they looked natural. I also applied MAC Haute & Naughty mascara to just blend my lashes with the falsies so they look natural.

For the face I used L'Oreal Nude Magique BB cream in Medium and then applied MAC Mineralize SkinFinish Natural in Medium Plus to set it. I contoured my face using Makeup Academy (MUA) Bronzed Perfection Bronzer. For the blush I used MAC Peachtwist and then I finished off by highlighting the top of the cheeks using MAC eyeshadow in Naked Lunch.

And I want to add that I had a great night! We had dinner at a Thai restaurant called Zen Yai and the food there was delicious! I just want to shout out a thank you to all my friends who came and also a BIG THANK YOU to my best friend for organising this dinner.

EOTD #7 - Golden chocolate

This morning I wanted to try something different to my everyday look. My everyday look is usually neutral lid and matte brown on the crease using the Naked Palette.

For this look I used 2 eyeshadows. I used Maybelline 24 Colour Tattoo eyeshadow in Bold Gold all over the lid and blend it up slightly just above the crease. Then I used L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Endless chocolate on the crease. I also applied the chocolate brown along the upper lash line and lower lash line. And lastly I finished off with MAC Haute & Naughty mascara.

This was a pretty quick and easy look to do.

Hope you like it!

EOTD #6 - Purple and Burgundy

Today's EOTD is a purple eyeshadow look. I think this look is really good if you want to have a bright pop of colour. This look is also good for those with monolid and hooded eyes.

The products I used for this EOTD are:
  • MAC Fluidline in Macroviolet - this was applied thickly on the lash line up to the visible lid (for hooded eyes when you open your eyes). Then whatever was left on the brush, apply this to the lower lash line and blend softly with MAC Outspoken bright purple eyeshadow.
  • MAC Outspoken Mineralize Eyeshadow - blend the bright purple colour on the lid over the Fluidline then apply the deep burgundy colour on the crease.
  • MAC Beauty Marked Eyeshadow - applied on the outer lash line and the outer corner of the eyes blended with the deep burgundy colour.
  • MAC Naked Lunch Eyeshadow - applied on the inner corner of the eyes and on the brow bone as highlight colour
  • MAC Haute & Naughty Mascara
Purple is my favourite colour so I really love this look and although it is quite out there I think it's a nice summer/spring daytime look.

EOTD #5 - Glamorous day/night look

So, I'm sorry that I haven't been posting much. I have been really busy and just after the new year my computer died so I had to wait to get it fixed. And then after I got it bad, I got sick with food poisoning. It hasn't been a very good start to the year. Anyway, after all that I am now back and I hope that I can post more often this year.

Today I did an EOTD look that can be worn for day or night time. You can always intensify this look using false lashes and by adding eyeliner. For this look I used the Savoir Faire Winter Kit eyeshadows and one MAC eyeshadow.

Here are the products used for the Eyes:
  • MAC eyeshadow in Naked Lunch - this was applied all over the lid and blended slightly up to the crease
  • Savoir Faire Spice (burnt orange) - this was blended all over the crease
  • Savoir Faire Kinetic (dark burgundy/purple) - blended on the outer third of the crease
  • Savoir Faire Liberating (deep blue) - applied on the outer v and blended with the crease colour Kinetic. I also smudged this colour along the upper lash line and the lower lash line.
  • Savoir Faire Onyx Eyeliner - tightlined and applied very closely to the upper lash line and on the outer third of the bottom lash line
  • Savoir Faire Devout on the inner corner of the eyes and on the brow bone
  • Maybelline One by One mascara.
Although this was an Eye of the day look I will also list the products I used for my face:
  • MAC Face & Body foundation
  • Inglot Translucent powder
  • Savoir Faire Blush - Devoted
  • Makeup Academy Bronzed Perfection Bronzer
And lastly for the lips I used Revlon Lip Butter in Pink Truffle.

Hope you like this look!

EOTD #4 - New Years Eve Party Makeup

So I've been watching a few YouTube videos on New Years Eve Party Makeup and it got me inspired to do one myself. I was particularly inspired by Lisa Eldridge's video on Party makeup.

So here it is:

Products used:

For the eyes:

  • Mirenesse Jumbo Black eyeshadow/liner pencil
  • MAC Shimmermoss
  • MAC Beauty Marked
  • MAC Cross Cultural
  • Ben Nye Lumiere Lux Shimmer Powder in Ice
  • Rimmel Soft Kohl Kajal Eye Pencil in Royal Blue
  • Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner
  • Maybelline One by One mascara
For the face:
  • MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation NC30
  • Inglot AMC Face Blush (Liquid Blush) in shade 81
  • Benefit High Beam

So to do the eye makeup I started by putting on the jumbo black eyeshadow pencil all over the lid as a base. You can use any black kohl eyeliner, black cream eyeshadow or even MAC Blacktrack fluidline. I then use a fluffy brush like MAC 217 to just blend it up a bit towards the crease.

Then I apply MAC Shimmermoss all over the lid. Then on the crease I mixed a bit of MAC Beauty Marked (a black red eyeshadow) and Cross Cultural (a matte dark brown) and apply on the crease blending it in with the turquoise eyeshadow. I also applied Ben Nye Lumiere Luxe Shimmer Powder all over to give it a beautiful shimmery look and then I applied a thin line of liquid eyeliner along the lash line and winged it out a little.

On the bottom lash line I applied Rimmel soft kohl kajal eye pencil in Royal Blue along the lash line and then smudged a black kohl eye pencil on the outer third. I finished off by applying several coats of mascara. If you want, you can use fake lashes to give it a more dramatic look but I didn't have time so I just applied mascara.

And that is it. I think this look is quite easy to achieve and if you don't have the same colours, you can always play around and try using different colour.

And I just want to wish everyone a Happy New Year!! Wishing you all a safe and happy 2013!

EOTD #3 - Bronze/copper smokey eye

Today I did a Bronze smokey eye look. I was inspired by a video by a youtube makeup guru, xteeener, on a sunkissed makeup look but I was particularly inspired by the coppery smokey eye she did. Here is the link to the video: http://youtu.be/Erat11fIw80

Anyway, since I didn't have the exact colour of the eyeshadow that xteeener used in the video  tute above I decided to just play around with colours that I have.

Here is the photo of the eyes:

I started by applying a black pencil eyeliner on the lash line. I did quite a rough thick line. I also lined my bottom waterline and lash line. I then used a pencil brush and smudged out the black liner.

Over the liner and all over the lid I applied MAC eyeshadow in Bronze. I also applied another eyeshadow on top of that to just make it more coppery and that was an eyeshadow from the Savoir Faire limited ed Winter kit in the colour spicy (which was a burnt orange colour).

Then on the crease I applied MAC eyeshadow in Cross Cultural (a matte dark brown colour) and then finally I applied Immortal from the Savoir Faire kit on the outer V to deepen and define the eyes.

I also took the MAC Bronze and Savoir Faire Spicy down on the lash line just to add a bit of colour. I didn't add any more liner to my top lash line, just added it on the waterline and tight line my top lash line since the look was already quite intense.

I finished it off by applying Maybelline One by One Mascara.

So above is the finished look. On my face, I just applied Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum foundation, MAC Peachtwist blush and MUA (Makeup Academy) Bronzed Perfection Bronzer to contour my face and to give that sunkissed look. I was going to use a nude or natural lipstick but I forgot... woops!

Anyway, I hope you like this EOTD look. I really had fun doing this look!

EOTD #2 - Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Eyeshadow #27

Earlier last month I reviewed the Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill eyeshadow in shade #27 which I purchased on my trip in Singapore.

In this EOTD I just simply used the one Giorgio Armani eyeshadow. I didn't want to use any other shades since this shade is just so beautiful on its own. It's a really nice mix of pink taupey colour. I used a blue eyeliner just to add some colour, I think it was a Revlon eyeliner.

EOTD #1 - Green with envy

Since I have a lot of eyeshadows (don't ask me how many - it's a lot!!) I thought I should start posting EOTD (Eye of the Day) looks. Here is one I did last week. I did an all green eye makeup.

Here I used MAC eyeshadow in Humid all over the lid and I used MAC Sumptuous Olive on the crease and outer V. For the mascara I used Maybelline Volume Express One by One mascara.

Hope you like this look!
